Blues vs. Sharks January 8, 2015

First Period: There were four goals. Three were made by St. Louis Blues, but one was made by the San Jose Sharks. The second goal of the game was scored by St. Louis. It was interesting because it went right through the leg of an opposing player.  It was also a great goal to watch because it was shoot from near the blue line.

Second Period: At the beginning of this period there was a goal scored by San Jose that had the puck being lost inside the net.  It was caught at the top crossbar of the goal.  Everyone was looking for it for a little while. St. Louis managed to score two goals this period to make the score 5-2.

Third Period:  The Blues’ sixth goal was made by putting the puck underneath the goalie’s stomach as he was lying across the net’s opening. Vladimir Tarasenko almost set the record for scoring, but his shoot went off the goal post. The last goal of the game was scored by the Blues to end it at a score of 7-2. The Blues win!!

First  Period: St. Louis scored a goal to lead the game.  At the end of the period, the Blues had a delayed penalty.  However, the Coyotes did not manage to score a goal which is pretty sad for the Arizona team.

Second Period:  St. Louis scored two powerplay goals and one regular goal to take the lead 4-0. Arizona did not score at all. David Backes scored all the goals in this period.  Good for him!

Third Period: Backes scores again at the beginning of the period.  Jaden Schwartz also scored for the Blues to bring the score to 6-0. All this was early in the third period. No one scored again, but there was another delayed penalty.  This time it was against Arizona. The final score of the game was 6-0.

First Period:  Dallas scored first, but Chicago answered and tied the score.

Second Period:  Dallas scored again.  Chicago answered again. But Dallas came back and scored to take the lead again. The score was 2-3. There was a power play goal by Chicago Blackhawks’ Bickell to tie the game again. The score was 3-3.

Third Period: Dallas took the lead again by scoring yet another goal.  The Blackhawks had one minute left and put the puck into the net.   The goal was interesting because This sent the game into overtime.

Overtime: Dallas had a chance because Chicago’s goalie was not in the net. The Chicago players fell on the puck as it was going to the net and saved the goal.  Now Chicago attacked. They went to the net and scored to win the game with a final score of 5-4.

First Period: St. Louis scored three goals. Two of them were Power Play goals. At the end of the period, Los Angeles Kings scored one goal. The score was 3-1 in favor of the Blues.

Second Period:  Los Angeles Kings scored right away. Then again scored another goal to tie the game at 3-3. Fortunately St. Louis scored again to go ahead 4-3.

Third Period:  Again the Kings came right back. It was now 4-4.  i was getting tired of the score going back and forth. Los Angeles scored to make it 5-4.  They scored again to make the final score of the game 6-4.  St. Louis should have won the game.  They had the lead and let go.  How frustrating for us Blues fans.!

First Period:  Bruins scored first.  The Wild came back with a goal.  It was tied 1-1.  At the end of the period, the Bruins scored again.  They were ahead 2-1.

Second: No one scored a goal, but there were some close chances.

Third Period:  The Wild scored at the end of the period to tied the game again at 2-2.  The game went into overtime.

Overtime: The Bruins scored quickly to win the game 3-2! YEAH!

First Period: There was no score this period.  Boring game so far.

Second Period: Kings made two goals. Both were by Gaborik. The Blues were behind 0-2. Tarasenko did manage to score his first goal for the Blues. So the score at the end of this period was 1-2.

Third Period: The Blues really came back this period. Tarasenko scored two more times.  There were two power play goals and an empty net goal also.  The score at the end of the game was 5-2.  The Blues’ fans were very happy with the ending of this game.

First Period: At 7:11, the Wild scored.The score was 0-1 in favor of the Wild. That wasn’t good.

Second Period: Seabrook, Hossa, and Toews all scored for the Blackhawks. The Blackhawks were ahead 3-1.

Third Period: The  Wild score twice so the score was not 3-3.  Finally, there was a power play for another goal for the Blackhawks. The final goal of the game was an empty net goal with 14 seconds left in the game.  The final score was 5-3 for the Blackhawks!!

First Period:  Devils scored. The Blackhawks did not block very well which allowed the goal.

Second Period:  Just as the period began, the Blackhawks scored to tie the game. The Devils came back and scored another goal.  This put the Devils ahead again 1-2.

Third Period:  The Blackhawks tied up the game  at 2-2. It went to overtime.

Overtime: There was no score during overtime. So we had a shootout!

Shootout: The Blackhawks scored tow nets and the Devils didn’t score any, so BLACKHAWKS WIN!!!

First Period: By the end of the first period, the score was 0-0.

Second Period: The Flames scored. So the score was 0-1 in favor of the Flames. Patrick Kane passed the puck and at 13:52, the Blackhawks tied the score at 1-1. This pass was the reason the his team scored. Without assists, there often can be no score. Passing is important!

Third Period:  With 9:15 left in the game, the Blackhawks score again and now they were ahead 2-1.
